YOUTH Final Conference, Brussels (Belgium)
The event has token step from both the V Adriatic Ionian Youth Organisations Forum (AIYOF5), organised by the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE) in the framework of the 8th Annual EUSAIR Forum in Sarajevo on 25 May 2023, and from the Conference “Adriatic Ionian Region is You(th)!”, held in Split on 15 and 16 November 2023, as part of the EUSAIR/AII Croatian Presidency. In both occasions, the AIE presented the results of the AI-NURECC PLUS youth engagement actions and explained, through the voice of the very protagonists, the youth, the bottom-up participatory activities that led to the creation of the Adriatic Ionian Youth Network (AIYN) as well as the potential collaborative actions that could further, deepen and broaden youth engagement in the EUSAIR. Within the framework of the AI-NUREC PLUS Final Conference, the AIE, supported by all project partners, organised the Networking Talks to create yet another occasion for the AIYN to meet EUSAIR decision-makers and, together, pave the way for a stronger collaboration within the process of the creation of a EUSAIR Youth Council. The event was led by the representatives of the Spyridon KOURNOUTIS, Network of Youth Engagement (Greece) & Viliana VAKLINOVA, No Excuse (Slovenia) and encompassed networking between young people and EUSAIR structures, and foresight activities to check potential interesting topics for future joint cooperation.

Spotlight on Youth: the making of a business in the Adriatic and Ionian Region, Split (Croatia)
The Forum AIC co-organised, within the AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative, the panel "Spotlight on Youth: the making of a business in the Adriatic and Ionian Region" during the "Adriatic Ionian Region is You(th)!" conference organised by the EUSAIR, with the support of Facility Point and Adriatic Ionian Initiative Croatian Presidency!
The event took place on 16 November 2023 at the University of Split Campus in Croatia and showcased the experiences of young entrepreneurs, leaders in their sectors, aiming to provide an interregional perspective on the challenge of the ‘Brain Drain’ phenomenon.

EUSAIR EVENT | ADRIATIC IONIAN REGION IS YOU(TH), Split (Croatia)
The Conference that took place on 15 and 16 November in Split (Croatia) and focused on youth engagement, inter-university cooperation, and regional development in the Adriatic and Ionian region. The AI-NURECC PLUS partners actively contributed to the event with the contribution on inter-university cooperation prepared by UniAdrion, the Assembly of municipalities gathered by FAIC and a Youth panel coordinated by the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE), as well as a side-event organised by Forum AIC. The AI-NURECC PLUS project, through the AIE, was represented at the Youth Consultation Task Force table during the Split Youth Conference. The Forum AIC showcased the experiences of young entrepreneurs, leaders in their sectors, aiming to provide an interregional perspective on the challenge of the 'Brain Drain' phenomenon.

Skills development for the sustainable growth of the Adriatic-Ionian region, San Marino
This AI-NURECC Plus side-event on “Skills Development for the Sustainable Growth of the Adriatic-Ionian Region”, organised by FAIC, took place in San Marino on 10 November2023 in hybrid form and focused on opportunities and concrete actions for sustainable growth of the “Adriatic-Ionian Macroregion” with the aim of enriching the skills of each person in the field of sustainability. Education and Training can help all-ages people to reskill and/or upskill in order to contribute to Europe’s effort to respond to current and future social and environmental challenges.

AI-NURECC PLUS Side Event -13th Congress on Women Entrepreneurship, Budva (Montenegro)
In the framework of the AI-NURECC Plus Initiative, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC), in collaboration with Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, organised the AI-NURECC Plus Side Event, on the theme of Women’s Entrepreneurship, that was held on the 10 October 2023 in Budva (Montenegro) in hybrid modality, with the engagement of more than 180 participants. This year the congress was held within the framework of the Enterprise Europe Network EEN.

EUSAIR / Croatian Presidency | Strong Women for a Stronger Adriatic-Ionian Region, Zagreb (Croatia)
AI-NURECC PLUS partners participated in the Thematic conference "Strong Women for a Stronger Adriatic-Ionian Region" held within Croatian Presidency of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII). The event was held on 7July 2023 in Zagreb (Croatia). The event celebrated the diversity and strength of the Adriatic-Ionian region by showcasing remarkable individuals who play a vital role in its growth and prosperity. The organisers emphasized the achievements of strong women. The AI-NURECC partners representatives participated to four sessions: Women in Business, Leading Youth Empowerment Processes in the EUSAIR region, Civil Society and Strengthening the Role of Youth in the Region, as well as in the closing session.

AI-NURECC PLUS High Level Conference “From COVID-19 crisis to new pathways for a sustainable tourism in the Adriatic and Ionian Area”, Corfu (Greece)
In the framework of the AI-NURECC Plus Initiative, the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC), in collaboration with Corfu Chamber of Commerce, organised the AI-NURECC Plus High Level Conference "From COVID-19 crisis to new pathways for a sustainable tourism in the Adriatic and Ionian Area" was held on 13 June 2023 in Corfu (Greece) in hybrid modality, with the engagement of more than 100 participants. The SARS-CoV-2 pandemic has put the global economy to the test of numerous new challenges: the economic, health and sociological crisis has brought, above all, strong negative consequences to the tourism and transport sector, representing the 10 % of world GDP, thus leading governments around the world to quickly search for solutions and remedies. However, the pandemic has also brought with it an opportunity, the renewal of a sector that has been stable for several years.

Youth-led Event on Skills (Adriatic Ionian Euroregion and AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative), Sarajevo (BiH)
The event was an occasion to continue reflecting on the challenges of the green and digital transition and on the EU opportunities that young people need to be prepared to seize in order to face them. Participants received information about EU-led skills development actions in the Adriatic Ionian Region and in particular about the implementation of the Youth Guarantee.
Momentous topics such as brain drain and brain circulation in the Adriatic Ionian Region were discussed with a special reference to the role of youth organisations in facilitating skills development.

Adriatic Ionian Youth Organisations Forum, Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE) in collaboration with the Conference of Peripheral and Maritime Regions (CRPM – Coordinator) as part of the AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative, Sarajevo (BiH)
The 5th Adriatic Ionian Youth Organisations Forum (AIYOF5) was powered by the Adriatic Ionian Youth Network (AIYN), an open network promoted by the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion and several Adriatic Ionian Youth Organisations with a view to boost youth engagement in the EUSAIR, stimulating youth to take ownership of its objectives and appropriation of its opportunities, as to propose, structure, design and implement youth-led engagement, advocacy, awareness raising and capacity building actions. The Forum allowed Youth Organisations forming part of the AIYN to meet EUSAIR decision-making structures and, together, explore ways and means of promoting a greater role of youth in the Strategy.

Circular Economy and aquatic resources: how to manage inland and coastal waters in a smart and circular way (Three Fora and AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative), Sarajevo (BiH)
The event focused on approaches for the optimal management of water resources, as they are an essential step in managing the impacts of climate change on the environment. The COVID-19 sanitary crisis has also been an additional element of pressure on water resource management, emphasizing the need for a more sustainable and resilient economic, social and environmental system.

EUSAIR towards the Green and Circular Economy – Territorial Challenges and Regional Development (Three For a and AI-NURECC PLUS Initiative), Sarajevo (BiH)
The event examined how successful circularity-based and innovative local development policies and policy instruments need to create interconnections between and within different sectors, institutions and actors. A specific focus was devoted on bioeconomy and circular economy in tourism. Indeed, the bioeconomy aims at driving both sustainable development and circularity through reuse, repair and recycling, reducing the amount and total impact of waste. At the same time, circular tourism allows the application of circular economy approaches to the tourism sector in order to stimulate sustainable tourism.

8th EUSAIR annual Forum, Sarejevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
The 8th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) organised by Bosnia and Herzegovina and the European Commission with the support of the EUSAIR Facility Point in Sarajevo took place on 23-25 May 2023 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Forum was organised in a hybrid manner.

The Blue Economy in the Adriatic-Ionian Region: the value and development of nautical tourism, Brindisi (Italy) and Online.
This event was organised by the Forum of the Adriatic and Ionian Chambers of Commerce (Forum AIC) and the Chamber of Commerce of Brindisi, in collaboration with Assonautica Italiana. Organised in hybrid modality, it saw the engagement of more than 150 participants. The programme focused on the role of the Blue Economy at a European level with particular reference to the Adriatic-Ionian Area.

Summer School on Sustainable Tourism, Ancona (Italy)
There were 33 student participants from 8 EUSAIR States and Professors coming from 10 different universities of the EUSAIR macro-region. The students prepared 7 group projects on sustainable development in the macro-region. For the participants, online and live lectures were organized, as well as in cultural and social activities in Ancona and its surroundings. Fair and Conference on Sustainable Tourism in the Adriatic & Ionian region, Ancona (Italy) FAIC organised a Fair on Sustainable Tourism with an Exhibition of excellent examples of “sustainable tourism providers”: Cities, associations, NGOs, young tour-operators, start-ups and projects, from the EUSAIR Countries, presented their initiatives to reduce the negative impact of tourism and enhance the positive impact in rural areas and off-the-beaten track locations, by offering environmentally conscious holiday solutions.

AI-NURECC Events in the framework of the 7th EUSAIR Annual Forum, May 2022, Tirana (hybrid event)
In the framework of the 7th EUSAIR Forum, the AI-NURECC PLUS partners had a very active participation and organised a series of events under different thematic areas. The events in Tirana were an outstanding platform for Adriatic Ionian stakeholders to network and discuss momentous topics such as the revision of the EUSAIR, the role of youth and youth engagement in the Strategy and Cultural and Creative Industries as key to cross-border Three events were organized by the AI-NURECC PLUS partners:
- The Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE) organised the third Adriatic-Ionian Youth Organisations Forum (AIYOF3) “Youth building a common vision for the future of the EUSAIR” and the High-Level Conference “Cultural and Creative Industries as key to cross-border cooperation in the Adriatic Ionian Region”. - During the Conference entitled: "Cultural and Creative Industries as a key to cross-border cooperation in the Adriatic-Ionian Region", a panel of prestigious speakers illustrated the state of art of CCIs in the area and showed examples proposing innovative ways of making the sector more appealing internationally. The necessity to map the current situation of the CCI sector was highlighted in order to provide the right resources to boost the industry and attract new talented professionals from all over the world. - A Speakers' Corner was organised by AIE in collaboration with the European Commission and the Albanian EUSAIR Presidency. The event was hosted at the EUSAIR Networking Fair and was managed by the Adriatic Ionian Youth Network (AIYN). Through the Speakers' Corner the AIE collected young people’s ideas for the revision of the EUSAIR. The 7th Annual Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) organised by Albania and the European Commission took place on 16-18 May 2022 in Tirana.

High-Level Conference on Circular Economy in the Adriatic Ionian Region, Online event (initially foreseen in Slovenia)
Organised by the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion, the second High-Level Conference on Circular Economy in the Adriatic Ionian Region discussed the uptake of circular principles in the context of multi-actor and multi-level governance. Key stakeholders of the Adriatic Ionian Macroregion such as the OECD, national-level governing structures supporting the EUSAIR, the EUSBSR and the EUSDR provided their inputs. Representatives of Western Balkan youth organisations presented their concrete actions to create awareness, facilitate community engagement in embracing circular economy and sustainability.

Side event on the evolution of the film making process in the Adriatic and Ionian region, Mostar (BiH)
The state of play of the Creative and Cultural Industries in the Adriatic and Ionian region mapping will be presented. Experts and representatives of the sector will analyze the evolution of the Audiovisual sector from the time of the former Yugoslavia to today, with the aim of understanding how to make the sector more attractive at European and international level.

Development Models for Creative and Cultural Industries in the Adriatic-Ionian Region, Online event (initially foreseen in Serbia)
The different stakeholders involved in the AI-NURECC PLUS discussed the state of play of the project in an online conference on 28 February 2022. The aim of the conference was to keep up with the mapping of the stakeholders of Creative and Cultural Industries (CCIs) in the Adriatic and Ionian region. During the meeting, they explored the added value that CCIs can bring to the region, stressing their capacity not only to create jobs and contribute to economic growth but also to strengthen the sense of belonging to a community and promote active citizenship and intercultural dialogue. Two panels complemented the conference, bringing experiences from the implementation on the ground. The first delved into the actual process of mapping CCIs, while the second presented different creative and cultural projects launched by local communities.

High-Level Conference on Circular Economy, Online event (initially foreseen in Croatia)
The challenges and priorities of an efficient transition to a more innovative, sustainable and inclusive development in the Adriatic Ionian area were discussed among EUSAIR policy-makers, stakeholders, and implementers in a conference organized by the CPMR and the Secretariat of the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion (AIE). Adriatic Ionian Youth Organizations Forum The second edition of the Youth Forum was held back-to-back to the High-level Conference on Circular Economy. The event Aimed at providing a platform for networking to young people, as well as informing them about forthcoming training and employment opportunities.

5th EUSAIR Annual Forum | Belgrade (Serbia), January 2021 (fully online event)
5th Forum of the EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) took place in Belgrade (Serbia), on 28-29 January 2021, under the slogan „Strengthening the resilience of the Adriatic and Ionian Region through cooperation“. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and concerns regarding the situation during 2020, the 5th EUSAIR Forum was organized as an online event, in year 2021. Representatives of the AI-NURECC project participated with:

Multi-level governance policies in the Adriatic Ionian region, November 2019, Campobasso (Italy)
The AI-NURECC Initiative event in Campobasso was all about participatory processes and bottom-up approaches that can stimulate and reinforce a shared sense of ownership of the EUSAIR. Focusing on the multilevel governance approach and some of its declinations at territorial level, the event promoted a stronger role of of Adriatic-Ionian local and regional authorities in both the macro-regional strategy and the EU, also by means of a deeper cooperation between EU and non-EU members. It was held on 4-5 November, 2019 in Campobasso (Molise, Italy).

Summer School “Migration and mobility in the Balkans”, Ancona (Italy)

AI-NURECC event on EU programmes and funds for local stakeholders, July 2019, Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
As part of the AI-NURECC Skills Development action, the Adriatic Ionian Euroregion organised on 16-17 July 2019 a two-days training event aimed at promoting access to EU programmes and funds by local stakeholders.
The event included a practice-oriented and interactive training session on Community-Led Local Development (CLLD), which guided participants into developing their own project proposals.

AI-NURECC Initiative: Joint Forum of Forum AIC, FAIC and UniAdrion, 7-8 May (Budva, Montenegro)
The Forum AIC, FAIC and UniAdrion -Partners of AI-NURECC initiative- organised a joint Forum in the framework of the 4th EUSAIR annuel Forum in Budva (Montenegro) on 7-8 May 2019. A Seminar on Skills Development and Training Action took place on May 6th, in the afternoon. It brought together representatives of the academic and business sectors and launch a dialogue to examine the industrial transition and entrepreneurial discovery within the framework of the Smart Specialisation Strategies. The topic of this Seminar focused on Blue Growth and Tourism.

Info Day: ‘Adriatic-Ionian Youth Own Their Future’, December 2018, Campobasso (Italt)
The Adriatic Ionian Euroregion organised the information day 'Adriatic Ionian Youth Own Their Future' in Campobasso, Italy, on December 10th , aimed at boosting discussion on improving opportunities for networking for young people in the Adriatic-Ionian area. During the event policy trends, existing EU programmes/projects and related EU opportunities for youth were illustrated. Some of the most remarkable youth cooperation projects running in the area were presented, in order to boost the political discourse about promoting a future EUSAIR Agenda for Youth.
